The "Old Reliable" For Removing High Levels Of Iron

This water filter uses a media called manganese greensand, that combined with a regenerate of potassium permanganate oxidizes the iron to a form that can be filtered and washed away.

It is a top performer for removing high levels of iron, hydrogen sulfide and certain levels of manganese. It has a moderate level of maintenance to ensure optimum efficiency.

This unit, combined with a Classic Water Softener Series makes an exceptional team to fight iron and hardness.

Product Options

The Classic Water Iron Fighter works in harmony with a Potassium Permanganate Feeder. The 10" X 16" tank has a capacity of 30 pounds, and a liquid capacity of 5 gallons. There are also safety features visible, but a location away from children and pets is recommended.

A recommended dose of 2-4 ounces of Potassium Permanganate per cubic foot of Manganese Greensand is suggested for its regeneration. Correct water temperature is important to properly dissolve the Potassium Permanganate. You can contact us for more information.

* Note: Capacities may be higher or lower than published, depending on flow rates and water characteristics. Units are available in almond or blue. Blue color is a special order.
