DOMESTIC WATER
PURIFICATION FILTER

"Filterum"
16 Litres a Day

(Winner of The State Award of the Ukraine
and The International European Award for Quality)

The domestic filter "Filterum" is designed for the purification of water from various supply systems and open water reservoirs, lakes and rivers.

The filter is an ideal water purification device for anybody who is concerned about the safety of drinking water: users of inadequate quality water supplies, remote dwellers, travelers, etc. There is also a strong economical alternative for those who buy bottled water for health safety reasons.

The filter has undergone extensive examination and testing at the Moscow Institute of Hygiene (Russia), Kiev Institute of Ecological Hygiene (Ukraine), Central Water Laboratory of Finland, AmTest Inc of USA and other establishments.

The filter has certificates of Russia, Ukraine, Belarus and Finland. The International Federation of Red Cross and Red Crescent Societies supplies "Filterum" filters to various regions affected by natural disasters and epidemics.

The filter is based on the mechanical filtration through the track membrane. The track membrane is produced by the special treatment of polyethylene terephtalate film and has pores of 0.2 microns in diameter with the density of 300 million pores per 1 sq. cm.

The filter is extremely effective in the removal of various harmful substances and contaminants from drinking water:

Bacteria - 100%
Pesticides - 100%
Aluminum - 98%
Copper - 99.7%
Arsenic - 94%
Iron - 96%
Zinc - 97%
Cadmium - 59%
Lead - 91%
Chrome - 28%
Turbidity - 90%

Throughout the whole life span, the filter provides repetitive purification results - the quality of filtered water is always the same.

The filter does not require replacement cartridges.

The filter operates without electricity or water supply pressure.

The filter operation is very simple: the filter is placed in a suitable container (bucket, plastic bag, etc) with contaminated water, and purified water drips through a siphon tube into a receiving container (bucket, jar, etc) which is placed 0.7 - 1.5 m below the container with contaminated water.

The filter capacity is 16 liters per day with a guaranteed total life span capacity of 2,500 liters.

Filter dimensions: 190 x 210 x 35 mm
Filter weight: 500 g

In the production of the membrane filters, a new Quality Control system was introduced in December 1999. Every filtering element is subjected to a flow of precision crystals, and a laser-electronic counter registers the number of escaped crystals. The filtering elements with a pore size of 0.2 microns are tested with crystals with 0.3 microns in size. Even if one escaped crystal is registered, the filtering element is regarded as to fail the test.
