Sunlight Systems

Residential

Sunlight Systems

The Sunburst Series is manufactured in a number of convenient sizes - measured by gallons per minute (GPM) flow rates. These systems can be used in homes, businesses, boats, recreational vehicles or in pools or spas. The units can be installed where water enters the residence (point of entry – POE) or under counters (point of use – POU). It is recommended that all UV systems be installed closest to point of use.

The Sunburst Series can be used alone or in conjunction with other systems such as carbon filtration, reverse osmosis or water softeners. When using a UV system, it must be installed after any other purification system. This is because microorganisms can live and breed in those systems.

When sizing a system, you will need to know your flow rate. Typically, this is represented in gallons per minute. We are often asked, "what size unit should we use for our home?". The answer is that a 7-10 gpm unit is good for a small home and that a 15-20 gpm unit is good for a larger home.
